Hoppy New Year Everyone!
With the New Year comes a time for New Year’s resolutions. I thought it would be fun to make up a list of some resolutions your bunny might be trying to follow. See if you can think of more resolutions to personalize this list for your bunnies.
Bunny New Year’s Resolutions
1. Try to finish my cardboard box remodeling project from 2017.
2. Lose that extra 1/2lb from eating too many cranberries.
3. Do more binkies.
4. Learn more tricks so I can get extra treats.
5. Try not to drop poops as I zoom around the house doing binkies.
6. Stop digging in the carpet (even though it is a lot of fun).
7. Rip apart the 2017 telephone directory.
8. Learn how to work the computer so I can order toys and treats online.
9. Try not to knock over the grocery bags looking for greens when my people get home from the market.
10. Try to keep my New Year’s Resolutions until the end of January.
This month's cold weather is a great for growing winter greens. This month’s bunny salad will include hearty winter greens and veggies.
Winter Greens Bunny Salad
Serves 2
2 – 3 cups of organic braising greens (Russian kale, dinosaur kale, chard, mustard greens, beet greens, etc.)
1/2 stalk of Broccolini or 1/8 cup of Brussels sprout leaves
2 TBL of Radish Sprouts
Rinse all ingredients. Arrange braising greens on a bunny safe dish. Slice Broccolini and place on top of greens. Sprinkle radish sprouts over salad.
(If your bunny has gassy tummy trouble, omit the broccolini and/or brussels sprout leaves. Some bunnies have a problem with foods in the cabbage family, but they are fine for most bunnies.)

Have a fun filled winter and keep warm!
Remember your bunny enjoys being warm too, but be careful s/he doesn’t get too close to sources of heat and get burned or chew the cord of a portable heater.
